CONTRACT WELDING SERVICES

We truly believe that whatever your welding needs State of the Arc has it covered. We use the latest in welding power source technology from Miller and Lincoln welders. We weld most metals from mild steel, alloy steels, stainless steels and aluminum alloys. We are experts in all the processes including MIG, TIG, Pulse MIG, Stick, Flux cored, metal cored, carbon arc gauging and hand held plasma arc cutting.

We are equipped to handle simple to complex weldments in large lot quantities. Our highly skilled welder fitters assemble and weld your parts with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail.

We pride ourselves on having a second to none TIG welding department. We have honed our skills through many years of constant TIG welding for a variety of different fields.

This includes a long standing contract with a customer, who relies on us to fit and weld precision machines parts that end up in generator plants and off shore oil rigs. The parts are made of high strength steels such as 4130 chromoly and T-1.  Over the years we have worked closely with this company to develop a streamlined procedure and so far have had zero failures. MAUFACUTURING SUPPORT

We are very experienced in helping find a solution for companies that need replacement parts, machinery retro fitting or custom built support equipment to assist in your plant. We work closely with the client to understand and target their needs. We have built machinery and production support items. Such as custom service carts, orbital welding alignment machines, and copper wire manufacturing machinery. Some real world uses for these products are semiconductor gases and titanium tubing for airplanes.

GENERAL MACHINE SHOP

We believe that State of the Arc can turn its hand to almost any task. Our general machine shop work keeps us busy in many different fields and ahead of other less diversified shops.

We have the capacity to make replacement parts for your machinery. If a part is no longer available from OEM we can duplicate it for you.

If we are fabricating items for you that require machined components, this will be done all in house. This assures quality control and that the fit and function will be with in your needed tolerances.

We work on small lot quantity machining and machine welded parts for aesthetics, to “true up” or put features in the part that may be needed after it has been welded.

SHEET METAL FABRICATION

We can manufacture tanks, transitions, hoppers, cones and more out of light gauge materials in steel, stainless and aluminum. A recent project we worked on was reproducing drain pans and shrouds for wire saws that were made overseas and the parts were no longer available to buy. In the past we have built vessels for desalination and segmented elbows for custom duct work. Contact us to discuss your needs.

CNC PRESS BRAKE FORMING / ROLLING

To compliment the CNC Plasma table we have the capability to bend and form the parts coming off the table. Or bring us your pre-cut parts and we can bend them to your specifications.

The Standard Industrial AB-250-12 press brake has a 250 ton capacity and massive construction. The parts we make from this machine come out flat and square. This machine is equipped with a CNC back gauge for repeatability. This machine has helped us become the one stop shop our customers need. Whether it is bump bending a radius or full length bending of heavy materials.

The Baileigh plate roll will roll cylinders and cones. This machine is numerically controlled and parts can be rolled with minimal flat spots.

The CNC Di Arco hydro-mechanical press brake is perfect for small production runs on smaller parts.

CNC PLASMA CUTTING AND ENGRAVING

State of the Arc purchased a CNC plasma table in 2015 to expand our in-house capabilities. We worked closely with Dynatorch the manufacturer of our machine to ensure we have the best functioning system.

Our table has the capacity to cut from 26 gauge to 1 inch thick plate. We can cut steel, stainless and aluminum. Our machine has a built in water table. This greatly reduces distortion in your material. We utilize Auto-cad and state of the art nesting software to get the most yield from materials being cut. Our software will automatically generate cones, transitions and commonly used items like flanges and gussets.  The machine is capable of custom one off art work as well as high volume production cutting with speed and accuracy.

The engraving function has many uses. It can mark part numbers on your items, create intricate art work, make name plates or mark locations to be drilled in a secondary operation. This machine is a real work horse and we enjoy the dual functions of art work and mass industrial uses. It has become an integral part of offering our customers the best fabricating capabilities.

Heavy Equipment Repairs.

Trucks, Trailers, and heavy equipment are all subjected to hard use. They are expensive to buy, and some older parts are impossible to find.  Fuel Tank Repair and Conversion

SOTAW has become the go to place for all Fuel Tank Repairs. Buying a new fuel tank is a major expense. Catastrophic fuel tank failure is a common problem either from impact or corrosion. The steel band clamps are prone to rusting and corroding causing leaks and untold damage.  We have designed a custom system to repair and replace any fuel tank on the market today.  We will surface prep the tank, roll form 1/8 aluminum ware strips and weld them over the areas where the steel bands have eaten through. If your tank has a dent, we can cut out the area and weld in a formed plate so you will have the original fuel capacity. We can get you up and running for a great deal less than purchasing a new tank.
